How to Request Account Deletion

If you wish to delete your Comeek account and all associated data, please follow these steps:

Alternative Method: If you are unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us at connect@comeek.app with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include your registered email address.

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you delete your Comeek account, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:

• Account Information: Your email address, username, profile information, and account credentials
• Personal Preferences: Reading preferences, settings, and customization data
• Library Data: Your saved comics, manga, reading history, bookmarks, and favorites
• User-Generated Content: Any comments, reviews, or content you have created or shared
• Usage Data: Reading progress, time spent, and interaction history
• Subscription Information: Active subscription details and payment history (processed securely through third-party payment processors)
• Device Information: Registered devices and associated data

Data Retention Period

After you submit an account deletion request:

• Immediate Processing: Your account will be deactivated immediately upon confirmation
• Deletion Timeline: All personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of your deletion request
• Backup Systems: Data stored in backup systems may be retained for up to 90 days before final deletion
• Legal Requirements: Some data may be retained longer if required by law, legal proceedings, or to resolve disputes

Data That May Be Retained

The following information may be retained for legal, security, or operational purposes, even after account deletion:

• Anonymized Analytics: Aggregated, non-personally identifiable usage statistics that cannot be linked to you
• Legal Records: Transaction records, invoices, and payment information required for tax, accounting, or legal compliance (typically retained for 7 years as required by law)
• Security Logs: Anonymized security and fraud prevention logs that do not contain personal identifiers
• Content Rights: If you have created content that is shared with other users or is part of the service, anonymized versions may be retained

Important Considerations

Before Deleting Your Account:

• Data Backup: Download or export any data you wish to keep before deletion, as this action cannot be undone
• Active Subscriptions: Cancel any active subscriptions before deleting your account to avoid future charges
• Shared Content: Any content you have shared with other users may remain visible but will be anonymized
• Recovery: Once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered. You will need to create a new account if you wish to use Comeek again

After Account Deletion:

• You will no longer be able to access your account or any associated data
• You will be removed from our mailing lists and will not receive marketing communications
• You may still receive transactional emails related to your deletion request or legal requirements
• Your email address may be retained in a suppression list to prevent accidental re-registration

Cancellation of Deletion Request

If you change your mind after submitting a deletion request, you may be able to cancel it if you contact us within 7 days of your request. After this period, the deletion process cannot be stopped. Contact us immediately at connect@comeek.app if you wish to cancel your deletion request.
